Oct 31, 2007 Carbon Trading Corporate Luncheon

Is this a breath of fresh air for Indigenous communities?

Carbon Trading - The implications and benefits of a carbon economy.

Indigenous Australians have formal title to about 16% of Australia's land mass and the emergence of the carbon economy may offer exciting opportunities for their future.

In the second of its corporate luncheons, the Centre for Aboriginal Independence and Enterprise (CAIE) will explore the possibilities for Indigenous landholders and Australia’s corporate sector to build linkages to deliver economic outcomes while addressing climate change.

CAIE Patron and former Senator Aden Ridgeway, and Blake Dawson and Waldron Environment and Development Practice Partner John Briggs, will identify and explore some of these exciting opportunities at the luncheon.
